In March 2026, I joined the IMPULSE UNIVERSE team as a
Graphics Design and Logistics intern primarily supporting graphics and on-site coordination.
Throughout the internship, I strengthened my knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and practiced my branding skills. During the conventions, I practiced de-escalation skills, troubleshooting, and crowd control to provide guests with a positive fandom-focused experience.
During the event, I supported vendor/artist check-in and guest concierge. Being a friendly face for vendors and artists to connect with was one of my favorite experiences with this convention. Making a great first impression is so crucial because these positive interactions can lead to long-term working relationships.
Beyond this, I served as a point of contact for RE:WIND's team, providing crowd control at their booth and on-the-spot troubleshooting for their first-ever meet and greet. Quick problem solving and taking initiative has been two skills that were most helpful in remaining level-headed during the event.
Supporting with graphics, on-site coordination, and logistics, K-PLAY! FEST Bay Area 2026 was an amazing learning opportunity.
